Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 04/16/2011

Number: 1

Skies were clearing after noon after 1 1/2 days of clouds and 2.4 inches of rain. Winds from the west at 5-20 mph. Skies were almost clear at sighting time around 12 pm. Temp at 64 deg. I saw 3 female monarchs on my 1/8 acre common milkweed patch. One female had little color and well worn, the other two had age. All were laying eggs, mostly on plants that were 1-2 inches tall. My tallest plants are 7 inches.
