Observed approx 24 loons on our lake, have never seen such a large group in migration. First dighting of loons two days ago, just one day after ice out on 4/13/11. Also looks like our breeding pair are back home as they are keeping closer to there breeding area and the larger group is a distance away -nearer opposite lakeside.
