Barn Swallow (FIRST sighted)

Date: 04/18/2011

Number: 1

I've been worried about our cool spring causing a reduction in insects for the traveling swallows. Today, at 3:30pm, I saw the first of the season's swallows - orange breasted males - flying into and around our stable and resting on the fence. I hope it's a good year for these wonderful birds.
