This morning I saw a faded, ragged Monarch in the grass. I picked it up and carried it to a cluster of Butterfly Weed, hoping that it could recoup some energy and/or lay eggs, if possible. In addition, our Butterfly Weed is emerging, later than usual, it seems. The shoots that are up measure from 1" to 6".
