Tulips BLOOMED

Date: 04/20/2011

Number: 1

Our tulips were on the verge of blooming for about one week. Finally, they have opened so that we can see the beautiful yellow inside. We found that the bulbs planted with bone meal developed just like the ones that were not planted with bone meal. Today the soil temperature was 52 degrees F; one month ago the temperature was 10 degrees cooler. Unfortunately, or maybe luckily, the deer were able to stick their noses through the netting and eat two; lucky for us they only ate two, and lucky for them they got to enjoy a tasty treat!
