When I saw that several ruby throated hummingbirds had been sighted in the last few days in Tabernacle, I knew I would be next. I made syrup at 5:00 a.m. and at 7:00 a.m. when it cooled, I put out three feeders. I fixed my breakfast and went onto the deck to eat and I could not believe my eyes. My first Ruby Throated Male less than 10 minutes after I hung the feeder. We generally have dozens of birds feeding by the end of the season.
