We just saw our first of the 2011 season. It was a Ruby male at the feeder at our kitchen window. Most years, our Rubies are here before the end of April. Last year we didn't see one until Cinco de Mayo! May 5th was very late. And the first hummers we saw were females last year too! Odd. We are so glad to see this little guy...miss them when they are vacationing in the south. At the height of our season here we commonly have more than 2 dozen who hang around our house and 12-13 feeders.
