Barn Swallow (FIRST sighted)

Date: 04/01/2011

Number: 1

Our barn swallows have been returning every year for the past several years now. They use the same nest every year. We live on a small lake and they have built their nest on our boat dock. They never return all at once. They first one to arrive this year was on April 1st. Assuming it was the male inspecting the nest before his mate arrived. It has been a few weeks now since the first one arrived and there are now four swallows.
