Hummingbird, Ruby-throated (FIRST)

Date: 04/23/2011

Number: 1

I finally saw my first hummingbird for the season. I have a feeder right outside my kitchen window also one in the flower bed on the side of the house.

While doing my dishes I looked out my kitchen window and there she was at the feeder...nice plump hummingbird. I didn't notice any red on the throat, but sure seen the shiny green feathers. I sure hope to see more of the hummingbird and it's friends and family.

I live next to a park and a friend of mind walks her dog every day in the park and she said that she seen a hummingbird by my fence a couple of weeks ago, I was glad to hear that!

My Hummingbird flower bed has 2 big sage bushes and one small one, 3 red Penta's, and lots of their favorite coming back from last year...the Turks Caps, also Loose Strife and my Cardinal Climber dropped seeds last year and I have 3 of those coming up. I have more flowers for them in the back yard and on the other side of the house.
