Lake Osakis near Osakis, Minnesota


"As of Friday, April 22, the ice is officially off Lake Osakis.


Osakis resident Darwin Sibell made the call – he was designated as the Osakis Review’s ice-out official.


The ice held on for a while – as of Friday morning there was an 80-acre raft of ice still floating on the east side of the lake, Sibell said.


Then, as of sunset, the ice was gone... finally. "
