I wanted to report that on Tuesday, 4/19/2011 I saw my first hummer. Well, it actually turned out to be 4 birds. As I was sitting on the front porch, a female came around looking for the feeders! I was so excited. Last year I had one male that always sat on this green metal stake that helped support a dogwood tree. Well, a big storm on 4/16/2011 blew away the tree. I believe this is probably the same male that has sat on that stake for about 2 years now.
