I have seen a number of females laying eggs but I have also noticed something disturbing; I bring milkweed plants into the lanai to allow the caterpillars to thrive without being eaten by wasps. But a number of the caterpillars just seem to die. Some have shed three times and then don't seem able to eat. The plants are home grown with no pesticides. Any one have any thoughts?
