Just spotted the first male this morning. We put out an orange and a saucer of grape jelly two days ago and it's already paid off! He is INTENSELY orange ... more so than I remember. We''ve had orioles since we moved here in 1989, despite the fact that our tree trimmer stole their nest that same year. Not sure where the nest is, but I know they devour the oranges I leave for them. This is the first time we've put out jelly. I even rescued a female that one of my cats caught one year. Now my cats are indoor cats.
