Finally, a south wind came in last night and my first Baltimore Oriole (male) was in my lilac and on my feeder this morning at 7 a.m. The nectar feeder with an orange has been out for several days now as they are a few days later this year, no doubt due to the jet stream being so far south this year. Also at the hummer feeder at the same time, I saw first ruby-throated hummer (male), who is 8 days later than last year. They usually arrive before the orioles.
