Oriole (1st Baltimore)

Date: 04/30/2011

Number: 1

One adult male Oriole of very bright orange and black, I believe this is an ASY bird. First sited at 9:00 am CT. Feeders have been out for 2 weeks offering oranges and grape jelly as well as hummingbird feeders. The bird has returned about 3-4 times over a 3 hour period. The bird is returning to the jelly, not the orange. At this point we have seen only one bird. This is our earliest annual sighting. We typically hosted 3-4 pairs of birds each season.
