Hummingbird, Ruby-throated (FIRST)

Date: 04/29/2011

Number: 1

I saw a male first visit the feeder in my lower yard at around 1:40 p.m. and then it went to the patio feeder on the top yard and then it left. 5 minutes later a female showed up and went to the patio feeder. When finished the female perched in the apple tree above the feeder which is just starting to blossom. I've seen them visit the apple tree blossoms so I think their arrival coincides with the blooming of the apple trees maybe. I think their resident hummers because I saw a male visit my side yard feeder a day later.
