I saw my first Blue Grosbeak of the season. Unfortunately, he slammed into my sliding glass door and went to the ground. At first he didn't move, but as I stroked his head and back I knew he was alive. I held him in the palm of my hand for a while, all the while stroking him. His wings seemed ok as did his legs, so I set him in the fork of a crepe myrtle on my patio where he continued resting awhile longer before flying off. I was SO happy to know he was ok!
