Tulips BLOOMED

Date: 05/02/2011

Number: 1

Today the sixth graders went to check the tulips in front of the school sign. When we walked outside around 10:00am, it was about 62˚F. Once we got a chance to really observe the tulips, we saw that almost all of them had budded. About ten of them were all red. Out of the 72 planted, ten tulips had their bright red petals open. They are about a foot tall. There is a bountiful surplus of bloomed tulips. The tulips have grown well in front of the sign because they have a lot of sunlight. The tulips planted behind the school sign have not bloomed yet. We think this is because the sun does not shine behind the sign. It is May, and it is hard to believe we planted them back in November. We think the tulips have made a lot of progress since last fall.
