Monarch Egg (FIRST sighted)

This is the earliest I've seen a Monarch in PA. She was faded and missing wing parts but managed to lay over forty eggs. The sad part is the milkweed in this area is only one inch high and I fear the caterpillars will have nothing to eat when they hatch.
