Hummingbird, Ruby-throated (FIRST)

Date: 05/01/2011

Number: 1

I was sitting on the deck knitting, when I heard a loud buzz. Saw the hummingbird fly past me and into the trees near the deck. It stopped and perched on a branch. I could see that it was green, and wondered if it was a ruby throated. Looked at images on Google and determined it was not a rufous. Then it started to buzz again, flitting in and around the tree branches. The woods near the deck and house are dense and mountainous. It was a beautiful moment.
