Tulips BLOOMED

Date: 04/25/2011

Number: 1

Eastford Elementary's Red Emperor tulips began blooming on April 25----the date predicted by third graders in Dec.!!! And even though just one tulip bloomed, the entire bed of tulips quickly bloomed one-by-one every few hours after that until the entire bed was filled with red flowers. Every planted bulb bloomed, too. The comparison "wrong" garden planted in another location resulted in some emerged tulips but has not produced any blooms (except for how one pulled, emerged tulip that was brought indoors in early April produced a bloom on April 5---the date fourth graders predicted for tulip bloom actually!).
