Here at Chapman Elementary, our multiage classes have been observing trees in our outside learning lab (The Habitat) since early March. Each child had their own tree to observe and record. The class shared looking at one of our redbuds. After several weeks of cool temperatures and rain, we finally got a sunny afternoon. All the children were thrilled to see that our redbud had leaves the size of a quarter! We also observed apple trees, willows, and buckeyes.
