Students at Bailey Middle School have concluded the installation of a wildlife habitat on school grounds. Native plants were chosen to invite butterflies, bees, and hummingbirds. There are areas for nests and homes, protection from weather, water in shallow bowls and food in the form of nectar and nuts. Approximately 10 teachers and 600 students were involved in this venture. This was funded by a grant from the National Wildlife Federation. Training was completed by a core team of teachers. Other teachers contributed their time and efforts.
