I received my first Mother's Day present last evening my first female Ruby Throat hummingbird arrived at my feeder. The male is usually first but this time he came in a close second as my husband saw him at the feeder early this morning and the female chased him away. I don't know how they mate because they are always chasing each other.

Happy Mothers Day to all the mothers that are bird watchers.
