Have been happily watching a pair of robins nest in our front yard in a blue spruce. Male keeps jumping at our windows and neighbours - thinking he sees his reflection? This tree used to be filled with chickadees and nuthatches. When the robins first began nesting we found a headless chickadee on ground under tree. Most of the smaller birds are now keeping their distance. They are very active at nest building before noon, and then they seem to vanish, with some sightings of the male eating or on rooftops in area.
