Don't have the exact date. I've seen at least two Monarchs come through the yard in the last couple of weeks (April 29 estimated). Today (May 8, 2011) I went out into the fields to check the milkweed plants for caterpillars, and found several in a couple of milkweed patches with a few dozen plants - usually on medium sized plants (12-18 inches) near the tops. Saw one caterpillar about 1/8th inch, two or three maybe 1/2", and four between 1-2 inches. Also, very interestingly, found an ALBINO milkweed plant!!
