I have two MLMP sites in durham county, on 5/6/2011
Rollingview - zero larva/eggs on 16 plants
Flat River - 13 eggs, 2 1st instar, 32 2nd instar, 4 3rd instar on 116 plants
Boths sites are A. syriaca, Flat River is productive spring and fall, the Rollingview site is newer, milkweed coming up in the wake of a large hardwood that fell at an old home site. I'm half tempted to thin some Loblolly Pines to restore a bit of the prairie habitat, any ideas?? It is the only milkweed I have on park property, therefore can manage and monitor regularly.
