Date: 05/12/2011

Number: 1

Today I saw my first monarch in my yard in Westmont, Ill (western suburb of Chicago) at 41 degrees N/ 87 degrees W. No sign of Asclepias incarnata up, but Ascelpias syriaca is up largest plants are 6" tall. Upon inspection 20 eggs were found. This is the earliest I remember seeing a monarch and finding eggs.
