Posted on 05/04/11 sighting of a very rare bird found in the state of Illinois a Eurasian Collard Dove. The male Dove has been round since the first of the month still eating corn from my ground feeder and yesterday I spotted his female companion also eating along side of him corn. They both flew up into one of my oak tree branches he was courting her. Really exciting to know now I have a pair of these Doves in this neck of the woods and he found himself a mate.
