I saw my first hummer of this year at my feeder on the morning of the 13th. It was a ruby-throated female. Even though I have had my feeder up since the first of the month this is the first one that I've seen. It seemed to be quite thirsty and it stayed
for about 30 seconds or so before flying off again. It appeared many more times that
same day and I am elated to have seen her return over and over. What a thrilling sight!
