I have an orange New Guinea impatiens placed on a low plant stand outside on the deck beside a glass slider. As I was feeding my 1-yr old granddaughter in her highchair, a Ruby-throated hummer stopped to enjoy the blossoms. I was delighted and hope he keeps stopping by so my granddaughter can enjoy his search for food. It's been so cold here, I wondered if they were around or gave up and went South for warmth.
