While working in the front yard, my husband sighted our first monarch of the season. The colors were bright. The monarch was bouncing along from plant to plant; our milkweed sprouts are showing their first leaves. Our April had record rainfall and thus far May is very wet. 5/19/11 we saw another monarch in the backyard. No eggs yet.
