saw a monarch in pine tree beside welland recreational canal. fairly high in tree so unable to tell if male or female. colour very bright so unlikely very old. milkweed in area about 6 inches high. no eggs found on milkweed in area. also we are seeing yellow swallowtails in area and tiny white butteflys.
