We began hearing and seeing the Florida Gopher Frog (Rana areolata aesopus) around this time...Our pond is FULL of these little buggers!! It's a full symphony beginning at dusk each night and the kids in the neighborhood love finding these frogs. We play a catch and release game...They catch as many as they can throughout the evening and then we release them back into the pond before going home at night. The kids are learning so much about frogs and how to keep them hopping!!!
