Finally, at long last and after a long weekend of some rain and sunshine, our one lonley tulip bloomed. We checked last Thursday on our way to spring carnival and there was only a bud, but when we came back to school today, it was open and the bloom had been touched with frost. We also have two more sprouts coming up. We have observed that the tulip gardens close to house (right up against them) have been blooming for about 10 days already.
