Bald Eagle

Date: 05/25/2011

Number: 1

I heard mocking birds squawking outside my window and went to look. At first I thought it was a hawk, but it was HUGE. I live in a suburban setting near the bay. I took twenty or so pictures of it up in the tree. My husband and I have seen eagles in Alaska and on the Deleware river in Pennsylvania, but never expected to see one in my tree.

I THINK it was an immature bald eagle. Yellow feet, yellow around beak, mottled white and greyish feathers. When it flew, it's tail was bright white.
