Monarch Larva (FIRST sighted)

Date: 04/28/2011

Number: 1

Well the first of the 5 monarch eggs has hatched...got some photos of it eating the shell. These are from the (2nd monarch sighting) in the yard on May 24th. Right on time...will be checking this week for the round chew marks on the milkweed leaves, esp the SMALLEST plants, since this is what she preferred to lay her eggs on. Monarch rearing season has begun!!!
