I bought a milkweed plant in a flower pot with just the stems showing on 5/12/11 We had temperatures of 70F that same week, within a few days the leaves were about an inch high they are now about 4 inches high just waiting for the mother monarch to spot the plant and come and lay her eggs. We can hardly wait.
