Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 05/31/2011

Number: 1

9:00 a.m. Trying to fly in extremely winding conditions on the West side of small lake, after a stormy night with almost 2 in of rain. Couldn't tell if it was male or female, but ended up in longer lawn grass. I did not try to catch it and check it out. Milkweed is very small yet most places around here. We are having a late, cool/cold and wet spring.
