Monarch Larva (FIRST sighted)

Date: 06/02/2011

Number: 1

Well . . I never saw the Monarch who laid the eggs, but we were very surprised to find some nice fat caterpillars on the milkweed. They have all left, there were four in total. Two of them have made their crystalist on the flax plant and patio wall right by the milkweed plants. Nice that we can keep an eye on them. Still have not seen any butterflies by our milkweed, but see at least two or three on the East side of town where I walk our dog.
