Monarch Egg (FIRST sighted)

Date: 05/31/2011

Number: 1

Took a group of 7th graders out on the trails at our nature center. I introduced them to common milkweed plants and explained what monarch eggs looked like. Low and behold, a student found one lone egg. Immediately afterwards, we witnessed a female monarch laying eggs on plants in the area.
