To my surprise I saw my first monarch butterfly today. I got home from work at about 6:00 PM when I spotted a male monarch on the Lilac Bush feeding. The winds were from the SE at 34mph with gusts to 42mph (checked the weather channel). Watched for about 30 minutes when it flew from bush to bush. Even had time to take a couple of photographs. Weather temp. 73` cloudy, humidity 58% & dew point 59`
