Spotted my first monarch of the season at about 3 PM. Gorgeous day - sunny and in the 70's. My milkweed did poorly last year and did not come back in my garden. I have some potted that my neighbor gave me - I checked it, but didn't see any eggs. My rose hedge is in full bloom - hard to miss - so that may have attracted it initially.
