My friend Lisa called the evening of 6/07 to report she'd observed four adult monarchs in her yard on the outskirts of Honesdale, in Wayne County PA. - about 15 miles west of Milanville, where I live. That's very early for this part of the Pocono Plateau. Generally, adult monarchs show-up in New England, New Jersey, and western PA before we observe them in this region. I believe their principal migration routes carry them east and west of us.
