Monarch Larva (FIRST sighted)

Date: 06/09/2011

Number: 1

Three caterpillars hatched around the supper hour today from eggs brought in from outside on the Fifth of June.

Looking at Milkweed patch there appears to be many eggs on young milkweeds. Brought twenty-three eggs in today from plants the city will destroy when they cut the grass along the drainage ditch.

Observed two monarch adults flying along drainage ditch...one was faded and the other was very bright (almost as though it was fresh from chrysalis.
