Last year two partially white robins appear to have been fledged in Rainy River. The one that was mainly white appeared to be a male and appeared to be servicing a nest which had 4 nestlings about 10 days old. Two days the nest was destroyed and the chicks were on the ground. The strange thing is the nest appeared to be serviced by a pair of normal robins as well as the white one. Do robins destroy each others nests. I have an excellent picture of the white bird I can post if link provided. The chicks were just starting to fledge and not clear if any had a white phase. Have noted other nests destroyed this year as well. Not by humans and chicks/eggs not devoured.
