Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 06/16/2011

Number: 1

It was 1:30 PM, on a lovely sunny day, temperature approx. 22 C, fluttering together in the milkweed patch at Knob Hill Jr. P.S., in Scarborough, were 2 dazzling Monarch Butterflies. They fluttered together, dancing in the breeze above the wildflower meadow on our school grounds. The students were very excited and one found a leaf with 2 eggs shortly after the sighting!
