I had seen several tiger swallowtails but no monarchs until today. It was just flitting around the wild flowers in the ditches along the roadway at my house. It didn't seem to want to stay in one place as it moved on quickly. I have been watching the milkweed which are only about 4 or 5 inches tall. It's been a late spring here.
