I am happy to report that the first TWO monarchs of the season have arrived at our house outside of Rochester, NY. I couldn't identify gender as they flew by too fast, probably carried by the strong winds we had that day....but they seemed bright and beautiful. This is nine days earlier than their arrival here last year. The milkweed is up and some of it is beginning to flower. I can't seem to stop smiling!
