Monarch (OTHER Observations)

Date: 06/21/2011

Number: 1

A Manitoba Report would be appropriate now.

Monarchs arrived in the Province in early June, which is average.
Numbers are low and eggs seem to be sparse.
Milkweed is good – there has always been a surplus in my experience -
and will not be the limiting factor.
There will only be 2 generations, I expect, but the second one could well
produce larger numbers to swell this fall’s migration.
